Bernie's Story...
Meet Bernie. He's a boxer / staffie mix approximately 2-4 years old who currently weighs 63#. He's current with vaccinations and his neuter is scheduled. Bernie is good with adults, but hasn't been around small children yet. He's good with dogs but we're not sure about cats. Bernie knows a few basic obedience commands and walks okay on a leash. He still needs some basic training on doggie manners but he's a smart boy and catches on quickly. Bernie is a big, playful, goofy boy. He's sweet natured, calm and eager to please. Bernie will be a wonderful forever friend. Are you his new BFF?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernie, a Baton Rouge Boxer/Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Boxer/Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
