Lucky (was Arrow)'s Story...
Lucky is a very energetic and happy-go-lucky 2 year old Husky/Yellow Labrador mix. He was found by one of our volunteers sitting on a hill with an Arrow in his side. Our volunteer immediately stopped the car and called to him, and he came trotting over to her like it was the most reasonable thing in the world to do! We took him to a local veterinary hospital where he was dubbed Arrow and had the arrow removed. Even though this young man was deliberately mistreated by some human, he still finds it in his heart to love everyone he meets. After the surgery and recovery, Arrow was taken to live with one of our foster famlies where he has human siblings and a 2 year old German Shepard to play with. Arrow's new family decided he needed to be named Lucky, since he was obviously very lucky to be in the right place at the right time to be helped, and to survive! So, Lucky he is now, and any family that chooses to adopted him and make him a part of their home will be very lucky indeed. He is a doll

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky (was Arrow), a Frankfort Labrador Retriever/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Frankfort, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky dog from a breeder in Frankfort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frankfort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frankfort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frankfort paves the way for another one to be saved.
