Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Rockne. He is a 40 pound border collie/black lab mix and probably 4-6 years old. We adopted him from the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter in November, 2012. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and vet checks, and even had his teeth cleaned last year. He is a wonderfully sweet dog. We have four children, ages 6-12 and he has been awesome with all of them. He never has accidents, never chews on things, doesn't get on furniture and is so eager to please. He is smart, well mannered, and extremely laid back and always stays out of trouble. When he first became part of our family, he needed a little bit of training on the leash and we use a shock collar when we walk him however he is almost always perfect now and shocks are rarely necessary. We have occasionally boarded him at a doggy daycare and he has had no problems with other dogs there. We are devastated to be looking for another home for Rockne but his border collie genes have given him the herding instinct so he occasionally tries to herd small children that visit our home. He has never bitten anyone and I don't think he ever would but we have too many small children in and out of our home. He would be best in a home with children over 10. We have had so many tears in our house this weekend and we are determined to find a happy but more suitable home for Rocky. He is such a good boy. We would be happy to train the new owner on use of the shock collar and send it along with Rockne. We can also send his bed with him and are willing to do everything possible to find him a good home. Please contact Michelle at mail@villaruz.com or at 609-477-9272 if you can be Rockne's new forever home.
