My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NINA: Well-mannered and Athletic. Nina was left by her owner with one of his friends when he had to re-locate and sadly his friend did not have time for a dog so brought her to us. We are 100% dedicated to making sure she hits the JACKPOT when she is adopted because she is an outstanding dog and deserves nothing but the best! The first thing you notice with Nina is her regal stature with long legs and gorgeous brindle fur. She walks wonderfully on a leash and is most polite to passing dogs- So much so that she is our tester dog who helps us assess new dogs when they first arrive at the shelter. She is a star training student, mastering all the exercises and keeping her focus without fail. She is happiest when she is off-leash and running with her toys in the yard so we would love for her to have this opportunity to take hikes, jogs, or have a fenced in property where she can enjoy herself. She will entertain herself with all sorts of toys and also play fetch or tug with anyone who is willing! She does run and romp extremely well with other dogs, playfully baiting them to chase her around, but does not always want to share the new toy she has with every dog which we think is normal dog behavior, especially when these are not dogs she lives with or knows very well. She has zero guarding behavior, mouthy behavior, or arousal issues with humans and passed her evaluation without any issues. We do feel Nina can live in a home with other dogs and she also is unaffected by the presence of cats so felines are A-okay as well. She has interacted extremely well with all the children she has met and think she can be a wonderful family dog, a great companion dog for a single person, or even a starter dog for someone who has always wanted a dog and now finally has the time and lifestyle to accommodate an athletic, attentive, smart, and friendly gal like Nina. She has been waiting patiently in her kennel for to long and every volunteer that spends time with her remarks on why someone has not scooped her up yet…….Are you her forever?
