My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Minnie is a very pretty little black and tan miniature Dachshund. She is 8 years old (my oldest is 17) and very healthy and active. She loves her crate and will often go into it to take a nap, she will sleep in it at night if you prefer. She is special needs because Minnie is diabetic and must have her insulin injections twice daily. I give it to her right after her morning and evening meals. Her insulin runs less than $25 a month. I am going to have her re-tested because based on the medical records she came with, she was fairly over weight when diagnosed but she is now very slim and trim. She should be an only dog or, only one other dog, she is a little "defensive" since becoming diabetic, fearful another dog is going to attack or hurt her, so just one other would be about the extent of her comfort zone. She is very loving and completely house trained. She will have many more years to give her new humans lots of love and affection.
