My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocky Road was purchased as an 8 week old pup from a breeder by an elderly lady. This lady was not in the best of health and not able to work with this cute little guy nor spend the necessary time socializing him. Knowing it was the best thing for him, she surrendered him to Rescue. He is about he cutest little guy you ever want to meet. He is smart and sweet and just wants a home where he knows he is loved and can feel secure in. Despite his lack of training and socialization he is friendly. He is a bit timid at first, which we think will resolve itself as he gets to lead a more normal life. He was cooped up too much and had no interaction with other people or pets. He does love other dogs though, and has been very excited to get to interact with them in his foster home. He is especially fond of Caramel Crunch( who is also available for adoption) and they play so well together. Caramel Crunch is helping to restore Rocky Road's confidence and "social skills"! Rocky didn't seem too excited over the cats that live at grooming shop; so we feel he will be fine around them with just a little guidance. Rocky behaved excellently at the groomers, very easy to work with in that respect; and he is now working on house training. Rocky is a very quiet little dog who has not barked at all in foster home, nor did he bark at all at the groomers. Because he is a bit timid right now and also considering his small size, we feel a home with no small children would be best. Rocky Road is 8 months old and weighs about 10 pounds. He is up to date on all shots, will be neutered this week,he is on flea and tick prevention and heartworm prevention...Rocky Road will be ready to travel to his new Forever home by March 15th.
