Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bugle is absolutely the epitome of all things Beagle from his beautiful bark/bay to his wanting to be with and please his people to his great nose for things. Bugle is only around two years old and is between 25 - 30 pounds of lean muscle.
Bugle gets along very well with the other dogs here in his foster home, though he would just as soon be with his people (We have a feeling he either "owned" a boy or a young man as every time he sees one he gets very happy - poor baby.) We haven't tested him with cats yet, so please let us know if you have a cat and are interested in him.
Bugle does well in a crate but will protest for a little after he's put in for a rest or for the night - as we said, he loves to be with his people. He is good on lead but, with that nose, needs to be reminded who's walking who.
We are looking for a home for Bugle where the people are experienced Beagle owners. If you are interested in this beautiful and affectionate boy please include a little about your experience with Beagles when you submit your application.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and is found under Resources. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
