Lefty's Story...
Hello, my name is Lefty. I am a large, regal cat. My thick white fur is trimmed with brown and black spots. My life was happy until my beloved human disappeared. I’m not sure what happened, but I found myself in front of a strange place, locked in a box, outside in the cold. The people who found me took me to something called a cat shelter. I was not used to being away from my cozy home. All four of my lion-like paws were declawed when I was a kitten. Yes, it’s true, I have NO claws, no defense! So, as you can imagine I was terrified! The people at the shelter took good care of me, but I was not used to other cats or lots of new people. Finally, a lady adopted me. But, she lived with two big dogs and even though they were pleasant, I just didn't feel safe. I was very stressed, so I couldn't stay there! I need a home without dogs, where I can be the only cat. I am extremely smart and handsome. I like to watch TV, sit on laps, listen to soothing music, roll in catnip, and sleep in cozy places. I need to be loved again!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lefty, a Trevose Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Trevose, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Trevose.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trevose already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trevose breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trevose paves the way for another one to be saved.
