THERESA'S LUCKY DESTINY:

Destiny brought this angel, injured and badly neglected, to the backyard of one of our partner rescuers in Puerto Rico, hardly able to walk and desperate for food and water. She was fed, offered plenty water and within hours brought to a vet for a thorough exam and x-rays. The x-rays revealed her back left leg was broken in four different places from what appeared to be an severe injury caused by trauma, such as sharp object or a car hitting her. She was examined by an orthopedic vet who recently performed surgery to fix her leg. He inserted a plate which helped her regain balance and reduce the pain.

After three months of healing, Teresa is now healthy and ready to find her forever home! She is able to walk without pain or difficulty and has developed into a wonderful, smart and well behaved dog. We thank all of you who contributed toward her medical care. We could not have done it without your continued financial support!

Teresa is currently living with six other dogs, big and small, and gets along well with them. She is only a year old and weights 40 lbs. She is super sweet, and very affectionate.
