Bruno's Story...
Bruno, 2 yr old a sweet fawn-colored Pug mix, is smart, snuggly, and eager to please. He learns house rules and commands quickly and seems very patient with other dogs. He is athletic and loves to go for a walk, but is quite content to sit at your feet or snuggle on your lap. When he isn't nearby, he's perfectly happy to curl up in his bed or post up at the window.

He's still a tiny bit anxious after being in the shelter for a few weeks, but even after a day, he's coming out of his shell and giving kisses. He had a few accidents in the house and barked the first night, but didn't make a peep the second night. He's a bit vocal when you leave the house, but when you return and in the morning, he's very patient and quiet. He is not aggressive with food or toys and does not chew on things he shouldn't.

Bruno is a love bunny waiting to happen once he feels secure in his new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruno, a Austin Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
