THIS IS KLONDIKE....a handsome, apricot colored, 18 lb, 3-4 yr old Lhasa Poodle mix, who was dumped in the shelter by his owner because he is not great with children. Klondike has that "Lhasatude" that only really shows up when you try to move him when he is sleeping or pick him up when he is not ready to be picked up! Who likes to be moved when they are not expecting it anyway?? He really wants to please, but he needs to be in a home where he knows you are the boss of him and not the other way around!! Klondike has a fantastic personality, once you get to know him and he gets to know you. He is very affectionate and loves his belly rubs and to rub up against you and let you know he is close by -- and make sure you are close by, too. He would be great with another dog...but would also be fine with you! The ideal home would be one where he is exercised -- he could even go running with you. He needs an experienced guardian, who will have the patience to work with a dog who can be a little stubborn, who wants to be your son, but the rewards in turn will be tremendous.

We currently hold our weekly adoption events every Sunday (unless we are doing a special event) at the WESTFIELD CENTURY CITY MALL located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., Century City, Los Angeles 90067. Enter off Santa Monica Blvd and park in the ORANGE section in the parking structure. Take the escalator up and follow the signage. We will be located near the Brooks Brothers (look for the purple tent in the Plaza between the two buildings) from 12 - 4PM
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
