My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tammy!

She is a 9 months old pitbull mix. She is great with other dogs, she is currently living with a 5 year old pitbull and is submissive towards her. She is also living with a 6 month kitten and is curious and respectful but we would like to remind that cats and dogs should be supervised at all times.

Tammy is living with a 5 year old boy and is also very good with him, and again, dogs and children should always be supervised. Parents need to teach children how to interact properly with dogs and also know how to read the dog’s body language.

Tammy loves people and she gets really excited when meeting new people, she needs to learn how to properly greet people and not to jump. Her foster mom is working on that. We believe Tammy was abused by a male in the past, as she is fearful of men and sometimes she cowards in the corner when her foster dad disciplines her.

She is housetrained, and is not a barker. She has no toy aggression but is possessive with her food with other dogs, not people. This is common in dogs that have been starved in the past and is relatively easy to be correct, just needs patience and consistence. Her parents feed the dogs in separate rooms while they work on it.

Tammy is smart and knows some basic commands: sit, stay, lie down. She is curious in new environments. She walks fairly well on leash, but still needs more work.
