Raven's Story...
Raven is one of a number of dogs that Director Greg Willey rescued from another county. These dogs were literally tied to trees with very little shelter during this cold winter. Raven is a 2 year old Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix. She has a sweet personality and enjoys finally getting attention and love. She will need training but is quick to please and is a calm docile dog. If you have time, patience and a lot of love to give, stop by and check out Raven.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven, a Elyria Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
