Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Little Miss Winnie the Mini Poodle! She was found wandering along the Western Slope in
CO, in horrible condition, smelly and terribly matted. Sadly, she also was a victim of such severe trauma that she suffered a fractured jaw. It would have been extremely painful when it happened and worse yet it healed on its own with no vet care, leaving her with a crooked jaw and barely able to eat. This little girl has huge spirit and endurance....she is a true survivor!.
Winnie is blossoming in her foster home! She was treated to a day at the Spa where she was pampered like the princess she truly is. Her fur was so matted that she had to be shaved but she looks and feels so much better now.
Winnie has been joining her foster mom for car rides, walks through the neighborhood and shopping for new sweaters to keep her warm. Everywhere she goes people fall in love with this sweet little girl. She loves to give kisses but you have to be on the side of her face where her tongue hangs out or she goes in circles trying to get you on the right side for a little kiss.
She is great with other dogs, cats, young children and especially fond of her elderly 'aunt' that she gets to visit often.
Winnie will be visiting with one of our vets soon for a more thorough evaluation of her jaw. It is likely she will need surgery to correct her old injury(which is covered by the rescue). We will know more soon so please check back for updates. You can also follow her story on our Facebook page or Website(www.izzysplacedogrescue.com).
Winnie was found as a stray so her true age is not known, however, the vets have estimated her to be 6-8 years old. She's full of energy but has impeccable housemanners. All she wants is to love and be loved in return.
