My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Red is a big old guy, with a graying face, some missing teeth, & cloudy eyes. He's 70-some pounds & looks like a bear. He's sweet, gentle, & bewildered by being in a boarding kennel. This Hurricane Katrina survivor overcame tremendous odds & was rescued by a wonderful man who is no longer able to live independently in his home. Red had been injured with chemicals burns near Gulfport, MS and had no hair on his little body; it was feared that he may not survive and stayed hospitalized for 2 1/2 months. But he is now very healthy and active, and is just a big Teddy Bear of a spoiled dog. He and his best friend Jerry are currently boarding at their vets but that his a short term solution. They can be placed separately but we are praying for a second miracle for them that will allow them to continue to live together.
