Trout's Story...
Hello buoys and gulls, I’m Trout! I am a 4 month old Arabian Mau who swam alllll the way to Portland from Oman, and boy are my arms tired! How could I possibly swim from the Middle East to the glorious Pacific Northwest you ask? Excellent question, I am just a very curious, crafty and energetic little dude who heard about the excellent fishing out here in Oregon and I just had to see for myself! I have spots and stripes along my sides like my namesake, and I love to scoot and slink all around the Pixie cattery playing with all the other felines and people who come to visit. I come neutered, current on all vaccines and microchipped and my adoption fee is $135. So, what do you say, do you have spare room in your creel for me to ride around in on our adventures á la Moonlight Kingdom? Just fill out an application at pixieproject.org and come on down so we can meet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trout, a Portland Egyptian Mau kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Egyptian Mau for sale in Portland, or seeking a Egyptian Mau kitten from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Egyptian Mau breeders who help with Egyptian Mau rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
