Squigley's Story...
Squigley comes by his name honestly. He has an abundance of energy that he would love to share with an active companion. He enjoys walks, and is very curious about the world around him. Once he gets his exercise, he enjoys "people" time, although he is not a true "lap dog". He is treat-oriented which can be a plus for training. When this little guy was found, he was afraid of the man that was trying to catch him, but responded positively to a woman.
Squigley has gorgeous eyes, and a very distinct coat color……definitely a handsome guy!
If you are looking for a fun, lively little companion, Squigley would love to meet you!

Act quickly to adopt Squigley. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squigley, a Berkeley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
