Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chili is a one-year-old Schnauzer who was given up by a commercial breeder, along with several other dogs. It is obvious that Chili was not socialized and for the most part was left to his own devices to take care of himself. Puppies who grow up in this of environment miss out on crucial socialization with humans which is essential in a young dog’s development. These dogs don't learn to trust, to love or to play. They have had very minimal physical contact with people. The male dogs, in particular, can be more nervous because basically they are rarely handled even less than the females. The damage done can be overcome but it takes time and dedication. As he is fearful and could be a flight risk, a securely fenced yard is a must for Chili. He will need work on toilet training because he does not yet know what this is all about. Another well adjusted dog in the home would help Chili in his transformation to a family pet. In order to make up for lost time, he would need a home where he is not alone all day. Chili requires an experienced guardian; a Schnauzer lover would be great! If you believe that you can make a difference in this dog’s life, please consider adopting him. Fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Chili.
