MELY's Story...
Mely is a beautiful female gray pit bull terrier. She is 1.5 yrs old & weighs 65 lbs. She is a strong girl, but attentive to handler and wants to please. Mely was very excited to be getting out of the kennel and pulled to get to the exercise yard. She did not pull to the other kennels. She is playful with toys and gives them up easily. Loves petting and treats. She is easily redirected and did very well in her DOG TO DOG with Mikey, a neutered male. She snorts like a piggy.
Our rescue is called BARC’s. We are a registered Non Profit.
Our Website is www.bonerz.org. All our animals are posted there and the website is updated often. Please review our policies and procedure. If you would like to proceed, we need a foster or adoption application to be filled out. They can be found on our website or contact us back here and we can email you a copy. Once we receive your application, we will contact you to arrange a meeting with the pup you’re interested in.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MELY, a Calgary Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
