My story

Hi. My name is Marco Polo and this is my story. It's a sad one, but I'm hoping for a happy ending! I was rescued as a very sick kitty from BARC, just in time, if you know what I mean. My foster mom took care of me, but sadly because of my illness, my eye ruptured and needed to be removed. That's not a surgery I ever want to go through again. Because I was so sick, my eyes suffered, and while I didn't lose my other eye, it's badly scarred now. I am almost blind. My first few months of life have been rough, and I'm only 8 or 9 months old! After living on the street, and then the shelter, being sick, and losing my eye, you might think I would be very discouraged, BUT not me! I want to do all the things my sighted kitty friends do. I know how to play with my toys and use the litter box. I have a healthy appetite. Mostly, I purr and purr when I'm loved on. I like to climb on you for some play time. I love sitting on my scratch pad, and I use it too! I sleep in my kitty bed or on top of a blanket. I like to explore, and I get around very well. It's important that I have a safe home to grow up in and people who will love me. I adore attention. My coat is as soft as they come, and I probably won't get much larger than I am now; I weigh 6 lbs. I'm lots of fun and a sweet boy too! My foster mom says I'm a delight to have around! She tells me I'm an awesome cat and handsome too!
