Penny's Story...
Hello there! I am Penny, a 6 year old little scruffy girl. I am sweet, outgoing, friendly and enjoy attention. I get along with all the other dogs at my new foster home. And I ignore the cat, if I am occasionally reminded. I like going on walks and I am good on a leash. I get along very well with kids. I am looking for a lap of my own, come in and check me out. I weigh 11.6 lbs.

Plus, I am crate and house-trained!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a San Leandro Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in San Leandro, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Leandro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Leandro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Leandro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Leandro paves the way for another one to be saved.
