Pita's Story...
Pita is a 1-2 yr old female pekingese looking for a home. She seems to be a very sweet girl who gets along great with other dogs, does well on car rides and seems to have good house manners. We have discovered she loves to sit in the recliner and wait for you to be seated so she can be on your lap.

Pita will be seeing our vet soon to be spayed, once she gets a physical exam and the OK from our vet to be adopted she will be available for adoption. In the meantime we will be accepting applications for her.

Pita Will be spayed, up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, microchipped and on flea and heartworm preventative before going to her new home

Adoption Donation is $225.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pita, a Urbana Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Urbana, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Urbana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Urbana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Urbana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Urbana paves the way for another one to be saved.
