Katie's Story...
5 years old
Katie was signed over to our shelter when she didn’t get along well with the neighbor dog. Her previous owner did let us know that she has been housebroken, loves children and likes small does but can’t seem to get along with big dogs. Katie is just a big mellow sweetheart who loves to be around people. She would do great in a home with lots of people to love on her and a yard to run in. Katie is as happy and as loving as can be and she can’t wait to find her forever family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Fruit Heights Anatolian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Fruit Heights, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Fruit Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fruit Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fruit Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fruit Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
