My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Charlie Robinson! I’m one of the most loyal and sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. I’m an adorable Bassett Hound/ Beagle mix born ~May 2012 who loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. I have a laid back personality and I am very well behaved. Children and adults love me because I never jump on them and I love to sit and wag my tail when they pet me. If you start to pet me, I guarantee, I’ll roll over on my back for a belly rub as well. Before I came to my foster home, I was alone on the streets and then I was brought to a big, scary shelter and had no one to love me. My foster family doesn’t know how I coped because I love to be with people and don’t like being locked up. I am crate trained, but I prefer to stay out of my crate while my foster family is away. I am a good boy and have never destroyed or made a mess in my foster family’s house while they’re gone. Currently, I have a foster doggie sister who I love playing and rolling around with. We love to snuggle up and sleep next to each other. My absolute favorite thing to do is go on long walks. If you want to see me get excited and dance, just show me my leash and ask me if I want to go on a walk. People are always complimenting me on how well I walk with my foster mom as I always stay by her side and take her lead. When I first came to my foster home, I didn’t know any commands or even my name, but I’m a quick learner. I now know my name, come, sit, stay, and a few others. Right now I’m in an intermediate level obedience class with my foster sister and I can’t wait to show you everything I’m learning. In my foster home, I love to lie on the coach to watch TV and sleep on the bed so I’m always near a person. I need a family who will spoil me, take me on walks, and let me cuddle and lay close to them. I am a very loving and loyal boy and promise if you adopt me I will give you unconditional love.

In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $250 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
