Hi, my name is Miley! I am about a year old, weigh about 45 pounds and am looking for a forever home. I have a SUPER crazy story to tell you. You see, my previous owners were not very good to me. First, they allowed me to get pregnant at a young age and then put me in a car to have my babies. My rescuers received a plea for help because I was living in a car with my 10 week old puppies. They rallied to find us a foster and thank goodness they did! Me and the kids (my pups) were pulled to safety and into a foster home. My puppies are now being adopted and waiting to meet their forever people. It's my turn now. There is this really cool thing that my rescue is doing for me and my potential human. I definitely have some fear and trust issues and am dog selective. The thing is; I have been assessed by professional trainers and it has been determined that my previous life has obviously taken a toll on my emotions. They do say that I have a wonderful spirit, that I am loving and that I will recover from my stress...but, that I need some training, guidance and support. What my rescuers are offering...which, is a HUGE deal is this. They are looking for my forever family, a foster to adopt or a foster to be a part of my training program. You will learn from the best. You will be given the tools to help me and to create a bond like no other. The foundation will be laid and YOU get to be a part of it. I have been spending some time with some folks and here is the good and the bad...we just want to be honest. My forever family needs to know that they will have to continue the work and training to ensure success, long after the training is over. This means that once I'm home from training, we have to keep up the work to ensure that my training is successful FOREVER. A true dog lover...one that wants to put in the time and energy into me and our successes together. Someone that knows that owning a dog isn't as simple as feeding and loving me. A true companion for me, someone that wants to give me some responsibilities and enforce the theory of; work, reward and love. Ideally, someone that wants to take long walks on the beach, the trails or in the neighborhood. Someone that really wants to spend time together and most importantly, someone that is comfortable being my pack leader.

I have heard that I am an extremely resilient dog, considering everything I have been through. In general, I have a happy spirit about me. I like to be loved and snuggled. I like to wiggle my butt and say hello. I like to give kisses. I REALLY want to bond with a human. I am social and want to be a part of things. I am a ridiculously fast learner and really want to please you. My rescuers feel like I deserve so much more than the hand I was dealt and want to ensure that a perfect match is found. It really is a crazy opportunity they are offering to my potential people, but they believe in me (which is really kind of cool)!
