Pheonix's Story...
This is Phoenix! He is a beautiful Rotti/Mastiff mix and such the gentle giant! He's a large dog with a kind, gentle heart and spirit. He is a bit shy at the shelter, but LOVES hugs and kisses and you can see by the pics! If you sit down with him, he curls right up in your arms. Phoenix is a mush ball and would do really well in a not so hectic home/neighborhood. Loud noises seem to make him a little jittery poor kid. He was found all alone in the street just looking for someone to save him... so we did! He doesn't show any aggression towards the other dogs (though for safety we usually only let them play through the fences. He just sniffs calmly with his tail relaxed and wagging. He knows "sit" and loves Trader Joe's Chicken Sticks LOL. This boy is beautiful and we know he will be a great friend to his person. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pheonix, a Freeport Mastiff/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Rottweiler for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Mastiff/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Rottweiler breeders who help with Mastiff/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
