MEET LUCKY:
Howdy folks! Boy am I glad to meet you! Lucky's my name and being a loveable, happy, friendly doxie is my game. I'm may be little (almost a year and about 9.5 lbs), but my rescuers say I am big on personality...it helps me stand out in a crowd like my red jacket and my red and white dapple coloring. I am house trained, get along with other dogs and older kids. My rescuers say I need to gain some weight, and since I love to eat and play, it shouldn't be a problem. I am looking for a forever family to be my best friends and who will feel as lucky to have me as I am to have them.
OUR CRITERIA (aka the Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
