My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Saorise is a 1 year old red merle female Border Collie that also happens to be deaf. We do think Saoirse may be able to hear some things because she seems to respond to barking dogs but that is about the extent of her hearing. Saoirse is a very smart girl, she is housetrained and already knows a few commands. A testament to her intelligence, Saorise was learning new hand signals for "lay down" in just a few minutes. She is a bit of an alligator when taking treats but she was also learning to be more gentle with just a few tries! Such a smart girl!!!

Not only is she smart as a whip, but Saoirse is also very sweet. So far Saoirse has been great with all the people and other dogs that she has met. She is very proper with other dogs and loves to play. We have not had her tested with cats but we were told she does will with them. She is a little mouthy with people but we are working on that and she is getting better. Because she is deaf, Saoirse should not go to a home with young children that will not understand how to behave properly around her.A completed adoption application must be submitted to NBCR before you can be considered to adopt this dog. There is also a $180 adoption fee
