World Meet Conrad!
Conrad loves to be the center of attention—can you make him your star?
This handsome ginger boy appears to be about 4 years old, about 65 pounds, and is full of sweet affections to shower on his people.
Conrad is a mature, but active, just-plain-easy boy, looking for his forever family. This exceptionally nice guy hasn’t had the best luck in life—he’s been stuck at the rural Del Norte County Shelter in Crescent City, CA (on the OR/CA coast border). Where there is low foot traffic and odd adoption viewing hours, which has kept Conrad waiting at the shelter for over 12 months (356 days!!!) for his perfect person to come and take him home.
Conrad has a great personality, full of life, silly and always in a good mood – he’d make your morning coffee if he had opposable thumbs. Conrad comes with some other great attributes too -- He will do anything for a treat, so he will love to continue his training education—he thinks learning is fun and delicious!
Conrad loves the great outdoors – daily walks are his favorite thing to do while passing time at the shelter and would love to be someone’s exercise partner. Love to hike? Funny--so does Conrad! He also loves his ball and would be easily satisfied with some ball chasing/fetching. Afterward, he’d love nothing better than to snuggle with his people and rest up. He’s of medium energy level so he’s pretty mellow after his daily exercise.
Conrad is fun and people-oriented (especially with the ladies), up to date on his vaccines and neutered. Because of his size and playfulness (adult only home, please – he’s a bit too excitable for young kids).
Conrad is mainly disinterested in other dogs, but we feel he’ll do best in a home with no other dogs or cats to be set up for success. Interested in making Conrad your doggie son? If you would like to become Conrad’s forever family to show him all the fun things in life, and take away all his worries, we want to hear from you! Please contact: Liz or Shelly, the lead shelter volunteers, today!
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in rural Crescent City, CA (a tiny coastal city on the OR/CA border). We have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t come outside and play. Please consider making a difference in a dog’s life and adopt from our shelter!
We are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.
We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
