Hunter's Story...
Meet Hunter! After hearing that Hunter was scared and overwhelmed at a local CT shelter, our dedicated foster went right away to rescue him. Hunter is a small/medium sized mixed breed (perhaps Jack Russel Terrier/Beagle mix) who is approximately a year old and is currently in a foster home with other dogs and children. Hunter is initially shy with new people, but he warms up very quickly and loves to both play and cuddle. Hunter is up to date on vaccinations and neutered, If you are interested in adopting him, please complete an application from www.ruffstarthappytails.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Wethersfield Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle for sale in Wethersfield, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle dog from a breeder in Wethersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wethersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wethersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wethersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
