My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING—“Rita” is not in foster care with BAPBR and we make no guarantees about his/her health or temperament. We are providing a service to his/her owner or foster home to help with appropriate rehoming. Please contact this dog’s owner/foster home directly if you are interested in meeting or adopting him/her.

This lovely girl is Rita and she is hoping to find a wonderful forever family all of her own! Rita is about 4 years old, is spayed and UTD on her vaccines, and also already microchipped.

Rita didn't start off life with the life she deserved. She was found wandering on the streets by a very nice family, but because they already have a full house, they are hoping to find Rita the perfect home, just for her.

Rita is also a very well behaved dog! She is crate trained, leash trained, and although she could still use some training in a couple areas, she knows her basic commands and will impress you with her skills! She waits for an "ok" before eating her meals, loves playing fetch or with any other toy, she loves to stick her head out the window on car rides, and she absolutely adores belly rubs. Rita does need exercise so she doesn't get too bored, just like any dog, and she is willing to go on any adventure with you. There isn't much not to love about the lovely Rita!

Rita has not been around a lot of children. She ignores them when she see's them and her foster mom is recommending dog savvy older children (10 and older).

Rita likes other dogs. She is well socialized at the dogs park as well as doggie day care. She is currently living with an older border collie and they get along well. Even when he takes her ball she waits for him to be distracted before she takes it back.

Rita loves people. She immediately wants to play ball and will drop it on their lap. She does bark when people come to the door but her tail is wagging the whole time.

Rita loves to go in the car. Her head is outside the window at all times. Nose Art on the windows is the alternative if it is raining. Her ball and kong are always in her mouth. She loves to lay in her crate with the door open.

She does not like vacuum cleaners. She chases squirrels and chickens and is crazy fast. She is also not fond of having her nails clipped. She allows you to hold her feet and does ok with a grinding type of nail file but does not like the clipper ones.

Adoption Fee: $100 --- If you are interested in adopting Rita contact Stacy Gibson at (503) 970-7220 and you can also email her at Stacey@gseor.com. Rita is currently located in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
