Zoey's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Zoey's Story...
Zoey is a 4 year old Red Long Hair Dachshund that loves people and loves to be held. Zoey has a wonderful personality, and get along great with other dogs, and kids. She is friendly and never meets a stranger. She has been well taken care of her entire life, but sadly, her owner has cancer and is not well enough to care for her. She would make anyone a great forever companion and she is looking for the perfect home.
Zoey came to rescue with a housemate, Zander. Zander is a small 5 year old Red Long Hair Dachshund that is shy, but warms up easily. Both love to sleep in bed under the covers and love to snuggle.
Zoey is in good health (although we are taking a little weight off of her) and is ready for her new home. She is current on all shots and has been spayed. Her adoption fee is $250.00. If you would like more information or would like to fill out an application to adopt please contact us at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Ft. Myers Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Ft. Myers, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Ft. Myers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Myers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Myers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Myers paves the way for another one to be saved.
