My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jayce was found roadside, as so many are in her county. Perhaps she was dumped, as she stood in the same place and didn't want to leave "her spot." Jayce initially was very thin; perhaps she had been left out to fend for herself for awhile???

Jayce has been fostered in a home with two small children, cats, and dogs. She loves everyone and the affection is returned due to her sweet submissive nature. Jayce is playful and views the world as her friend.

Jaycee has been in THE RED DOG PROJECT prison rehabilitation program. That means at least four weeks of fostering with inmate handlers and learning the basics of all around good behavior, potty training and interacting with other dogs.

Here is more information about me:
Jaycee is a 7-8 month old heinz 57 puppy who loves small children and dogs. She has a submissive nature and listens well

GENERAL VETERINARY CARE:
I have been:
~ spayed/neutered
~ microchipped
~ dewormed
~ heatworm-tested negative if dog is of age to be tested ( 6 months or older)
~ up to date on all age appropriate shots
~ treated with a flea preventative

Jaycee has been seen by a Connecticut veterinarian and all medical records will come with the adoption papers as well as notes from Jaycee's dog handler.

ADOPTION FEES
Adoption fee is $385 and includes all vetting listed above.

ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION FORM:

ADOPTION PROCESS -
If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption. We hope you will understand the careful scrutiny of potential adopters is not only for the safety and well-being of the dog but also for a positive experience for your household. Thank you for saving the life of a shelter dog through adoption; you are truly a hero.
-- A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference.
-- If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property.
-- If you have never owned a dog and therefore do not have a vet reference let us know right away and we'll try to do a home visit before the adoption. First time adopters need a quick home visit to make sure they are ready to take a dog home for the first time.

The Red Dog Project dogs will often visit area retailers for a Saturday or Sunday "debut", please email info@reddogproject.org if you would like to be on the mailing list for those events.

Thank you!
