Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gabe is an absolutely adorable buff male Persian with the cutest face that will simply enchant you. He was dumped by his owners at a animal shelter outside of Los Angeles and spend over two weeks there before we found out about him and rescued him.
Gabe has a very sweet and loving personality and always comes up for pets and headbutts as soon as he's spoken to. He can be a little chatterbox at times. He is playful and has a nice energy about him and loves to climb and run up and down on cat trees. He is very friendly with the resident cats and likes to explore his surroundings. He is a little shy in the beginning but will feel confident with a little time and patience.
Gabe was severely matted when we rescued him and received a cute lion cut that will give him a fresh start. His coat will be very lush and beautiful when it grows out and will require regular brushing. His eyes needs daily cleaning, typical of the Persian breed. He eats wet and dry food. He also had a kitty cold when we first got him but recovered from it very quickly.
Gabe's intake exam at our vet revealed that he had a slight heart murmur that was followed up with a cardiac ultrasound. He was diagnosed with HCM(Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) and he will need to be monitored with regular vet visits and take daily medication to keep his condition under control. (Cost of meds is around $30/month).
It's good that we found out that Gabe has this condition so it can be treated and hopefully with regular vet care, treatment and TLC and a lot of spoiling, he has a long and healthy life ahead of him.
Gabe is a wonderful little boy. He deserves a wonderful home that will spoil him rotten, and hopefully some friendly kitty friends and a human(s) who will just simply fall in love with his big round eyes, adorable face, and little tongue sticking out.
He is a little treasure to be cherished.
