Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Greetings, Earthlings. I'm Shilo. I come from a faraway land where I was Queen, Ruler of the Known Universe. You can tell by my plumpaliscious silver self that I'm used to the finer things in life.
More and more of my current subjects are learning exactly how to please me. Those that do, find that I make the best lap kitty in the world (large laps are preferred but I would probably make do with sharing sofas), staying for hours, purring happily. I used to address everyone with a single loud summons, but lately I've softened that and have learned how to use my "inside voice" very nicely.
Sometimes when my subjects leave my audience, I just can't help myself and I grab at them to make them stay. Don't they know they must request permission to leave? I just don't understand why that doesn't endear me to them, as I'm omnipotent and know what's best for everyone.
I tend to be very opinionated, but in a normal home situation where I can spread out (girl needs a little room, after all), I'll probably be much more calm. I will prefer someone who's had experience with catering to the every whim of royalty like myself. They don't let me play rugby as I have to save my appendages for decrees and such, but I'm surprisingly athletic, ready to drop everything for the toy mouse. I do have a sense of humor, after all.
I don't do the best with other cats, so it would be best if I were the only Queen in your castle. Even better if I were the only Queen in a 10 mile radius, but I'll settle for one forever family.
They tell me I'm a senior, but that just means I have a special adoption fee of $40 this month thanks to a kind sponsor who wants us senior kitties to find our forever homes. That includes my negative virus testing, spay, microchip, vaccinations (except rabies), food and litter starter kit (I've already lost 3 pounds a wet diet and no I don't want to discuss cutting calories), a month of free insurance and a free vet visit voucher. Please call to arrange an audience, as I need to make sure my chambers are in order before you arrive. Gifts of cat treats are always most welcome.
