Shadow's Story...
Meet Shadow, as in "Me and My Shadow" and so named, because this loyal, little pup likes to stick close by his human companion. Shadow is friendly, affectionate, extremely alert, and very mild-mannered. Best of all, this charming, little gentleman is completely housetrained.
Shadow is built long and low, with a patch of brown hair on his back and a lively spring in his step. He recently weighed in at a short and sturdy 15 pounds.
And don't be fooled by those white hairs on his face! This energetic, little sprite is still in the prime of his life, at just 3 years old.
Shadow is cute and cooperative, and you couldn't find a chap more deserving of a second chance at happiness, so why not take a chance on Shadow, today? For more information about Shadow, please contact his foster dad at 225-270-5653, or better yet, email him at sguidry41@cox.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Baton Rouge Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
