Snuggles's Story...
This is Snuggles, a 7 week old German Shepherd mix. Mixed with what you might ask? Well mom looks like a brown/tan German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever/red Dobie!! She's on the petite size at 45-50 lbs. But wait!! There is more. Dad is a black Lab/Curly Coat Retriever who weighs about 70 lbs. Both mom and dad are in foster care and are listed on our website if you want to take a look. Mom is Maddie and dad is Eddie. Both are described as wonderful, affectionate dogs. Well it must be in the genes. Snuggles and her brother Cuddles are just the sweetest, most loving little puppies that ever were. They LOVE to be held and both will crawl up until they can lay their heads right under your neck and that is where they want to stay. Snuggles is full of kisses and full of love to give. Our best guess is that she will be around 50 pounds when fully grown.

Sorry no adoptions to families with children under 5.

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Sherry at puppyluv_HAHS@yahoo.com to find out when and where you can meet SNUGGLES!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snuggles, a Overland Park German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
