Rodney's Story...
UPDATE 08/09/2014: New picture of Rodney. Look what a scholarly man he is. He would like to be your reading partner. Do you have room for him???

Rodney was found running down the road and was very, very skinny. His nose had been broken and he had no vetting. He has now been vetted and is in good health and ready to be adopted into a very special home. He will have to be an indoor dog. I will tell you right up front not every application that comes in on him will be accepted. I will be very particular about where and who he goes to. So if you think you might qualify then please go to www.hopperhalfwayhome.com and fill out an application for him. Good Luck.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rodney, a Harrodsburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Harrodsburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Harrodsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrodsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrodsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrodsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
