My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mirasol is a joy to have around, she has such a sweet nature about her. I find that she is still somewhat of a mystery, as many Xolos can be. She is an active and healthy 8 year old. It has been about three weeks since she arrived and is still getting comfortable with people in her foster home. She will need someone who understands a Xolo’s personality and be willing to let her be herself.
Other dogs bring a lot of joy to Mirasol and she loves playing with them and enjoying their company. Currently, Mirasol is in a foster home with cats. I feel she would thrive with at least another dog in her forever home. While Mirasol still hasn’t come up to me to be petted yet, she enjoys being close to her humans and will seek them out. She loves when her people come home, her little tail just wags and wags!
The most important thing for Mirasol is that she find a family that is willing to let her be herself. I see her forming bonds more and more each day, but she may never be a dog who wants to cuddle. She enjoys an active lifestyle, including walks and hikes. A home without children under the age of 13 years is necessary for Mirasol. She would do well with another dog friend and could possibly live with cats. She does good with meeting new people when out and about, but is nervous when people come to her home. She would either need a home willing to let her hang in a crate or separate room when company comes over or a home with few visitors.
