Meet Ash! He's a larger Rat Terrier, possibly from Decker bloodlines. Ash is 6 years old, weighs 26 pounds, and has gorgeous "calico" markings. He and a few other dogs were turned in to the shelter by their breeder, because she had too many dogs. Ash is very new to rescue, so we're learning more about him on a daily basis. He's very sweet, and a teensy bit shy, but that only lasts about 3 minutes. You can tell Ash is a happy boy because he wags his tail a lot. He's good on a leash, good with other dogs, and seems afraid of the cats at his foster home. Ash does not like loud noises, but he is very affectionate. In the yard he will run up to his foster family and stand up on his hind legs to get closer to them. Ash is quite tall, standing about waist high. He likes to stay close to his people, or his doggie friends in the yard. Such a handsome, sweet boy will be a welcome addition to your family!! For more pictures of Ash, please click here.
