My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruce is a 1-2 year old Labrador retriever long-legged and lanky at 50 pounds with a solid black lustrous coat- an onyx jewel. Like most Lab he seeks to engage humans but has a good sense of when to participate in the events around him and when it is proper to just spectate. Bruce has a friendly and playful personality and an expressive face that makes him appear to be always laughing or ready to laugh.
Bruce is beautiful to watch as he rockets around his play yard, pausing to sit statue still with back as straight as a soldier in review- nose testing the air for neighborhood news, then return to the patio high stepping in the grass like a wading bird in shallow waters.
In his foster home he is best buds with his beagle foster brother and leads a parallel and peaceful coexistence with the resident cat. His foster mom reports that he has no bad habits, is housetrained and only chews items that are offered to him- toys and treats. Bruce is the quintessential Lab and will delight those who have owned Labs in the past or convert a new Lab owner to a Lab lover.

Please contact his foster mom at pbschoen18@gmail.com, or call the FOTA House at 225/239-7368, for more information about this FABULOUS fellow.

All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.
