Benny's Story...
Hi! My name is Benny! I was found eating out of someone's garbage and they called the rescue to help. The rescue looked for my people, but no one ever claimed me. The nice people at the rescue think I am a Chihuahua Pekingese mix, but they are not really sure. I was probably born mid January and I am 9-10 weeks old right now. I am a lot of fun and love to play with whoever will play with me, other dogs, cats, and of course people! I am pee pad trained and working on crate and potty training. My adoption fee is $200 and covers my neuter, current vaccinations, de-worming, and micro-chip. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application at http://www.softplacetoland.org/dog-adoption-application/ . Hope to see you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Ft. Collins Chihuahua/Pekingese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pekingese for sale in Ft. Collins, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pekingese puppy from a breeder in Ft. Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pekingese breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
