My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Isn’t Bea the cutest little girl you’ve seen in a long time? She’s had a rough couple of months, but things are looking up for her now.

This little nugget was picked up as a stray on the cold streets of Chicago and was brought to Chicago Animal Care & Control. Sadly her family never came to claim her. Bea was moved to the CACC adoption floor because she was such a good girl. They tested her in play groups with both male and female dogs and she got along with everyone. Then one day one of the volunteers noticed that she was very sick. Bea had come down with pneumonia. The vets at CACC started treating her and one of the volunteers called CDR to see if we would be willing to save her and get her the medical care that she needed. CDR did not hesitate when asked to help her. Bea was picked up from CACC and taken immediately to one of our vets. She was prescribed two different antibiotics and we were told that she needed to be kept warm and quiet for a couple of weeks. Bea has made a full recovery and is ready to find her furever family.

Bea is approximately one year old, crate trained, housebroken, fully vetted, and just about the best pup that anyone could ever hope for. She gets along great with other dogs and wants to play with the office cat, but doesn’t understand why the cat doesn’t want to play back.

Please come and see Bea at our next adoption event. This sweet girl won’t last long!
