Scooter's Story...
Calling all vacant laps! Scooter is an 8-year old, blonde Yorkshire Terrier whose owner loved and spoiled him until she had to go to a facility that doesn't allow pets. Now he's looking for a permanent position of Lapsitter extraordinaire. He weighs 12 pounds, is neutered so he's immediately adoptable, has a rabies certificate valid until 3/26/15, and qualifies for the 55/5 program. He will need to be put on Heartworm preventative. He's a perfect gentleman on the leash and only barks when he has to go potty. His groomer agrees that he is one sweet guy. He is used to living with cats and gets along with everyone. Bring your lap on over to the shelter for a test ride with Scooter and you may find it's the love forever after kind. Scooter has his bed and food bowl packed and ready to go to a new forever home. Heartworm test is pending.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooter, a San Andreas Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in San Andreas, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in San Andreas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Andreas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Andreas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Andreas paves the way for another one to be saved.
