My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Dixie. I was turned in to a high-kill shelter with my puppies. My pups all caught a really bad virus at the shelter and unfortunately all but one passed away there. I just came to ESP from the shelter, so I'm still a little bit shaken up by everything but with some time and a loving home I'm sure I'm going to make a great girl. I'm estimated to be between 2-3 years old.

The Empty Shelter Project operates as a foster-based animal rescue. We do not have an actual facility for viewing dogs but potential adopters are welcome to meet dogs at our adoption events at PetValu every Sunday from 11-3. If you see a specific pet you would like to meet, please contact us in advance to make sure they will be at the event. PetValu is located at 10079 Market Circle Dr, Manassas VA 20110.
