My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope has lived over a year at an animal shelter in West Virginia. Penelope came to the shelter very shy and scared. She has slowly adjusted to the shelter life and to new volunteers coming in frequently. There are a few volunteers that have worked with her since the beginning that she has bonded with. Those volunteers think that she is a great dog and needs an opportunity to find a home. Penelope is a beautiful dog that shines when she is around other dogs. More info will come once we get to know Penelope a little more. She is estimated to be around 2-3 years old.

The Empty Shelter Project operates as a foster-based animal rescue. We do not have an actual facility for viewing dogs but potential adopters are welcome to meet dogs at our adoption events at PetValu every Sunday from 11-3. If you see a specific pet you would like to meet, please contact us in advance to make sure they will be at the event. PetValu is located at 10079 Market Circle Dr, Manassas VA 20110.
