My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke was adopted out by us as a puppy. His date of birth is May 3, 2007. He was with a really wonderful young couple who took terrific care of him. When kids came along, Duke didn't seem to like having a human baby brother. He never bit anyone but mom says that he did snap if young children 'bothered' him. He's been as good as gold here at my house. You know, I've always thought that min pins were one of the smartest dog breeds, which didn't always make them the perfect pet, in my book. However, Duke is beyond all of young boy silliness. He likes to just sit with you and be cuddled, he comes immediately every time I call him and he gets along just fine with all of the dogs in his foster home - and there are a bunch of them! There are two things unique to Duke: One is that when he's ready to go to bed, he winds himself up in a towel - you have to see it but it's the cutest thing ever. The second thing is that only two months after he was adopted, he broke his right front leg. The family paid hefty vet fees to have it repaired but he still has a hitch in his giddy up. My vet says that the fracture was at the elbow and didn't heal properly but feels that his limp is more due to mechanical issues rather than pain. Duke is house trained, he is crate trained and he travels well by car. He weighs about 18 pounds and could stand to lose a pound or two. He has a docked tail and natural ears. Duke is neutered, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm/flea preventative, is microchipped and has had many dental cleanings over his life. His adoption fee is $200 with all vet work done. You can't go wrong here. This boy is a dream pet.
