**Ronald**'s Story...
This is a courtesy post: Ronald (aka Big Ron) is a six-year old, 84 pound, Labrador/Rottweiler mix whose dad unfortunately may have to return to his home county this summer due to some work Visa issues. Ronald has the markings of a Rottie, but the goofiness of a Lab. Despite being a bit of a couch potato, Ronald is in good shape. He enjoys travel (he’s been through all the states from New Jersey all the way to Maine), loves kids, but would rather not have feline friends. Ronald has gone through basic obedience training and knows all his commands. He’s a lover, not a fighter and prefers to welcome guests rather than guard against them. If you are interested in adopting Ronald, contact Arun at 925-699-9730 or email info@cominghomerescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

**Ronald**, a Rockaway Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever for sale in Rockaway, or seeking a Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rockaway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockaway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockaway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockaway paves the way for another one to be saved.
