"Howdy, folks! My name is RUBY, and I'm a very loving and friendly four-year-old PIt Bull with a beautiful red coat. I want more than anything to be with a kind-hearted person. I enjoy going on walks and chasing after toys, and I'll never turn down a belly rub. You should see my face when I get a tummy rub. I look like I'm in heaven! I'm a staff and volunteer favorite here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I'd like to be in a family that has older kids, and I'd need to be the only dog in my new home. I'd want to have a soft and snuggly dog bed in the house so that I can be part of the family. I've already been house trained, and I can sit on command. I wouldn't dream of jumping up on somebody, as I'm a well-mannered lady. I'll want to please you, so I'll try really hard to learn whatever you'd like to teach me. I sure hope you'll come visit me soon. I've been waiting patiently here at the shelter for quite a long time.
