Oreo's Story...
Oreo is one of five puppies that were born around the beginning of February. The puppies and their mom were brought to a central valley shelter as strays at about 6 weeks. Lucky for them that our rescue group came in to give them a foster home. Mom is about 20-25 lbs. and part dachshund. The puppies do not seem to have her longer body. They are very playful and sweet and thriving at their foster home while they wait for their forever homes. For more information, please contact Nancy 925-846-9381 or nancymoore016gmail.com. A home visit is required. A home visit is required prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a Pleasanton Cattle Dog/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog/Dachshund for sale in Pleasanton, or seeking a Cattle Dog/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Pleasanton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pleasanton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pleasanton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog/Dachshund breeders who help with Cattle Dog/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pleasanton paves the way for another one to be saved.
